New toys in the studio

Xmas has arrived super early here in the Envisage Design studio. Specifically in the shape of a sparky brand new 27-inch iMac.

I’m crunching some pretty big data these days, and often multi-tasking between a number applications. My 5 year old intel iMac has been feeling the strain, and if there is one thing I definatly do not like it’s putting the creative flow on hold while my machine struggles to keep up with me. Rest assured, I’ll be working this new hardware to the bone.

I have been using Apple computers since I was 15 years old. I love them, and after 25 years of using them, I hope they feel the same way about me. Envisage certainly has produced a ton of work on the Mac platform!

The design of these new Macs are outstanding. Touch sensitive mouse, wireless mini keyboard and a massive 27 inch super high resolution LED display. I can’t wait to put it to the test.

Let’s play!

A helping hand with wine allergies

Did you know that a growing number of people are becoming allergic to the added preservatives in food? I am lucky not to suffer from any allergies (that I know of), but friends of mine are not so fortunate. One lady in particular has started suffering an itchy nose and skin rashes when drinking white or…

iPad2 as a comic reader

I’ve been putting off the puchase of an iPad due to the simple fact that I thought it lacked a killer app. That’s is to say, there was no real reason for me to have another (oversized) iPhone. I say ‘was’, because a brand new iPad2 has recently been added to my stable of Apple…

The office dogs’ body

My design studio has a new partner. Meet Bindi, the retired Greyhound. Her job (apart from acting like a 60kmh couch potato), is to make critical creative appraisals, take trips to the café and generally be an all-round dogs’ body. She been on the job for 3 weeks now. So far, so very good. Like…

Thoughts on 2011

Oh boy, what a year 2010 was. Self-initiated realignments were put into play at the very start of the year, and I’m very pleased to say they’ve all paid off. The NZ economy has been in limbo, to say the very least, for the past 18 months. As such, it’s easy to make big-picture decisions.…

I ♥ Moo cards!

I’m into my second batch of Moo Cards now. I love these things. Better still, the peeps who are lucky enough to be handed one think they are just amazing. I’ve got the keyring dispenser to match; pimped out with Moo Stickers. Of course anybody can have Moo Cards printed, the real trick is have them…
